Alex J. Turner Bio

Alex has significant experience in cyber security, business continuity and law enforcement. He is a collaborative leader with extensive experience in building and implementing risk-based, cost- effective security strategies, policies, and processes to establish effective security operations.

Alex’s experience takes in a broad range of security disciplines such as physical, personnel, executive protection, and data/cyber security, as well as extensive knowledge developing and implementing safety, business continuity and emergency response plans. He is an effective administrator with excellent leadership, mentoring and business integration experience. He also has specific skills in strategic and operational planning, risk and threat analysis, security intelligence and crisis management.

Alex was the Assistant director and Global CSO for the FBI. In that job he oversaw the development and implementation of physical and cyber security as well as, programs, policies and procedures to include security intelligence, operation centers, technology, executive protection and training in classified and unclassified environments.

He was previously special agent in charge of the FBI’s Norfolk field office, where he oversaw all domestic and international criminal, counterintelligence, counterterrorism and cyber investigations.

Recently, he was the Vice President of Security at Cablevision System, where he was responsible for both strategic and operational leadership of a 150 person multi-discipline security department.

Alex is a graduate of the University of Maryland. He is a member of several security councils.
